In Elsfleth experience maritime flair in a charming small town. Our ship was launched just a few kilometres from here in 1911. Located directly at the harbour Maritime museum The exhibition illustrates the shipbuilding era of the time, the history of shipping on the Weser and the Maritime life in the Wesermarsch region. Interactive stations, models and original exhibits such as historical navigation equipment and portraits of captains give you a vivid picture of seafaring. The old maritime school with its striking architecture characterises the cityscape and stands for the long tradition as a training location for seafarers.
