But as different as the sailing areas are, the individual <strong>tours<\/strong> have many <strong>commonalities in terms of the procedures on board<\/strong>. Here we present our (future) fellow travellers with an <strong>exemplary itinerary<\/strong> in text and pictures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-12630cab gb-headline-text\">First steps on board: arrival, getting to know each other, dinner together<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-grid-wrapper gb-grid-wrapper-a63ba371\">\n<div class=\"gb-grid-column gb-grid-column-e7ef20eb\"><div class=\"gb-container gb-container-e7ef20eb\">\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">In most cases, <strong>embarkation<\/strong> begins at 7 p.m. with a welcome drink and <strong>dinner<\/strong>. This gives you the opportunity to get to know <a href=\"\/en\/crew\/\" target=\"_self\">the regular crew<\/a> and your fellow passengers. But even if you prefer to <strong>enjoy the voyage on deck or in the cosy saloon<\/strong> rather than at the helm, setting and trimming the sails over the next few days will be a fascinating spectacle from a bygone era of seafaring.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-3d99536a gb-headline-text\">Days and nights: a bit of \"sail training\", nature, and shore leave<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-grid-wrapper gb-grid-wrapper-f43d31ee\">\n<div class=\"gb-grid-column gb-grid-column-7d12e909\"><div class=\"gb-container gb-container-7d12e909\">\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Most trips are planned so that we are <strong>at sea during the day and spend the nights in port or at a sheltered anchorage<\/strong>. This does not apply to so-called transfer trips, where a distance \u2018from A to B\u2019 must be covered within a specified period of time. On these <strong>transfer trips<\/strong>, we usually spend several days at sea in a row; port stops and shore leave are then rather the exception. <br><br>The <strong>daily trip plan<\/strong> is clearly explained by the ship's command with the aid of the nautical chart. This way, you will experience the trip as a <strong>pleasant mix of active holiday, relaxation, adventure, sail training, enjoyment and nature<\/strong>. <br><br>Which sails are set depends on the force and direction of the wind. Depending on the sailing area, local foods and ingredients often find their way into the cooking pot or onto your plate.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Setting sail, staying on course: plenty of variety in everyday life on board<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-grid-wrapper gb-grid-wrapper-173a15c1\">\n<div class=\"gb-grid-column gb-grid-column-82f283d7\"><div class=\"gb-container gb-container-82f283d7\">\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><br>At sea, you will have <strong>time for yourself<\/strong> and time to get to know <strong>the ship as a place of tranquillity<\/strong> where you can leave behind the flood of information and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. <strong>Stress and hecticness have no chance to unfold on the ocean.<\/strong> In harmony with the wind and the sea, everyday life on board <strong>encourages individual deceleration and the discovery of slowness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">When the skies are cloudy, simply <strong>make yourself comfortable below deck<\/strong> in the cosy <a href=\"\/en\/ship\/gallery\/gallery-cabins\/\" target=\"_self\">saloon<\/a> and browse through the extensive <strong>on-board library<\/strong> or DVD selection. A television with DVD player is available there. When the weather is good, free time is used for <strong>repair work<\/strong>. These tasks are also carried out by the members of our <a href=\"\/en\/crew\/\" target=\"_self\">regular crew<\/a>. <br><br>Guests travelling with us are welcome to help, but this is always on a voluntary basis.<br><br>In very rare cases, minor repairs to the ship are unavoidable or cannot be postponed. However, the regular crew endeavours to keep the noise generated by the tools to a minimum.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>End the day at the anchorage or on shore leave<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-grid-wrapper gb-grid-wrapper-6a9c60b8\">\n<div class=\"gb-grid-column gb-grid-column-d4a8a4d3\"><div class=\"gb-container gb-container-d4a8a4d3\">\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><br><strong> Anchoring in a bathing bay<\/strong>  with opportunities for snorkelling and swimming, a <strong> photo tour with the dinghy<\/strong>  around the ship or an <strong> exploratory tour of the harbour<\/strong>  \u2013 this is what the evening programme could look like. <strong> Shore excursions<\/strong>  offer an exciting change from life on board. A delicious dinner and a good glass of wine from the on-board bar, perhaps even a view of the sunset, round off the day and whet your appetite for the next day of sailing.
