Captain: Pit

I have been travelling the seas professionally since I was 26 years old. I attended maritime college in Enkhuizen, the Netherlands, and at the end of my training I was awarded the title "Master (all ships)". After a long period on merchant ships, my path has now led me back to back to sailing - finally!!!

I've known the Eye of the Wind for a long time because a colleague from sailing school was her captain - my predecessor - for nine years. Sailing is for me A loved and lived passion. The special thing about this ship is: I may be the captain on board, but I can't sail from A to B on my own. Everyone works together here.

Our fellow sailors will get to know me as an adventurer and enthusiastic sailor, I am looking forward to especially on the long trips to faraway places. My dream destination with the Eye of the Wind - the island world of the South Pacific!
