The impressive Canalsthat run through the entire city centre, with its historic gabled houses invite you to go for walks or boat trips. Art lovers will enjoy the world-famous Rijksmuseumwhich exhibits works by masters such as Rembrandt, and the Van Gogh Museum with the largest collection of the famous painter. The Anne Frank House is an impressive reminder of the history of the Second World War. For recreation there are the extensive Vondelpark or the botanical garden Hortus Botanicus.
