A day trip lasting several hours on the historic tall ship Eye of the Wind offers you the most beautiful view of the colourful hustle and bustle on land and the natural beauty of the fjord landscape. We bring you closer to the regatta field of the sports sailors – there you can watch the professionals competing for positions while tacking and manoeuvring.
Over a welcome drink, you will get to know your fellow passengers for the day. Or bring your family and friends on board with you and enjoy an eventful day together on one of the last original tall ships of our time.
There is much to discover on the water and along the shores: the submarine memorial near Heikendorf on the eastern shore of the fjord, the green and white Friedrichsort lighthouse and the naval memorial near Laboe are the unmissable landmarks on our way out to sea. From the very beginning, you can actively participate in setting the sails – always voluntarily and under the guidance of the experienced crew. Meanwhile, a delicious meal provides the necessary sustenance, because sea air makes you hungry. In the stylish ambience of the saloon or on the open sun deck of the Eye of the Wind, you can enjoy our delicious on-board cuisine while watching the never-ending stream of boats and ships pass by. The lighthouse at the exit of Kiel Bight marks the turning point for our early summer excursion. In the increasingly dense traffic of pilot boats and fjord ferries darting back and forth, we gradually make our way back to our berth at Tiessenkai. The approach to the Holtenau lighthouse soon heralds the end of the day's trip.
