Before an eventful day, you will spend the night on board in an air-conditioned double cabin. The next morning, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast amidst the awakening harbour scene. An impressive fleet of ships forms the sail-in parade to the big harbour festival. The spectrum ranges from small Elbe fishing boats to huge ocean cruisers. After casting off from the port of Hamburg, we first sail downstream, past the Oevelgönne museum harbour, the Hamburg villa suburb of Blankenese and the green banks of the Elbe. We then join the large convoy. Accompanied by thousands of spectators on both banks of the Elbe, Hamburg welcomes all the guest ships that are honouring the Hanseatic city on its harbour birthday at the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken. After the parade formation has been dissolved, the Eye of the Wind heads for her assigned berth. Together with other traditional sailing ships, this offers an unusual photo opportunity against a fantastic harbour backdrop.
The sail-in parade can be booked without overnight accommodation if desired.
