The Closing highlight on the harbour birthday Sunday is the Participation in the departure parade of the largest harbour festival in the world. One Fleet of ships of around 100 vehicles form up for the big parade. The spectrum ranges from small Elbe fishing boats to huge ocean-going cruisers. After casting off in the harbour of the Hanseatic city we sail down the Elbe and join the large convoy. Accompanied by thousands of onlookers on both banks of the Elbe, all the participating ships bid farewell to the Host city Hamburg and their visitors. After the parade formation has broken up, the Eye of the Wind back to her berth. Together with other traditional sailing boats, the boat will once again offer a non-everyday experience at the end of the festivities. Photo motif in a great harbour setting.
