Voyage description
Our sailing area: Danish South Sea between Jutland and Funen
After breakfast, it's "Cast off!" During this first day of sailing, we cross the invisible German-Danish sea border. In the southern part of the island of Funen, between the islands of Als and Ærø, a watery landscape presents itself that is repeatedly interrupted by small and large islands, sandbanks and green forests. A possible first stop on our journey is the small harbour town of Faaborg. The old town centre is one of the best preserved in Denmark. Worth seeing are the free-standing bell tower of the old town church, the only preserved town gate in Denmark and the Viking sculpture at the harbour.
Active or leisurely sailing - the choice is yours
After a safety and sailing briefing from the friendly crew, you can actively participate in the ship's operations. Active assistance on deck is always on a voluntary basis, so you can, of course, simply relax and watch the sailing manoeuvres and the daily practice of traditional seamanship. The fresh sea air is known to make you hungry - so you can look forward to our excellent galley, which will surprise you every day with a variety of creations from the galley cookery book.
Northwards through the Little Belt
We sail northwards through the Little Belt. The strait between Jutland and the island of Funen is a popular sailing area due to its many sheltered bays and small islands. Small fjords, the curved coastline or the wind-protected side of the islands offer numerous opportunities to find a safe anchorage. A night at anchor - as an alternative to going ashore - is always a special, natural experience on any sailing trip.
The northern end of the Belt is particularly scenic, where you can stay in Middelfart. The harbour town offers a varied mix of maritime flair, nature and beach life.
The highlight and cosy conclusion of the last day at sea is our traditional Captain's Dinner with all guests and crew members. At the end of this varied cruise, we tie up the lines in Kolding harbour. You will disembark with a duffel bag full of memories. A relaxing time in the Western Baltic Sea now lies behind you. The trip will remain in your memory thanks to the good balance of time under sail and relaxing shore excursions.
Our tip for a comfortable arrival and departure by train

This is where you disembark
In Kolding you will say goodbye to our crew and your fellow travellers. Use the time during your stay to explore some of the sights of the City in the heart of Jutland to discover: The Geographical Garden is one of the city's green oases - explore the unique collection of flowers, more than 2000 different trees, plants and herbs, organised according to their country of origin, in the 14-hectare adventure park.
For centuries, Koldinghus was Jutland's oldest royal castle and one of the most important castles in the country. The building burnt down in 1808 and stood as a romantic ruin until it was restored. In summer, free concerts are organised by the adjacent lake ("Slotssø").
