You can't get more Caribbean than this! We sail through turquoise waters along the southern part of the Windward Islands. The starting point of this journey is the "spice island" of Grenada. Bequia, Saint Vincent and Saint Lucia appear one after the other as tropical dream islands on the horizon in front of our ship's bow. Eventful days at sea alternate with evenings and nights in harbours or beautiful anchorages. Discovering the Caribbean islands from the water on a windjammer is a very special holiday experience! After a week, the cruise ends on the "flower island" of Martinique.

New Year's Eve under sail – Windward Islands
Trip information
This is where you board
Tropical greenery, exotic markets, hospitable people, palm-fringed islands in turquoise waters – the Grenadines are the epitome of a Caribbean sailing dream. St. George's is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the Antilles. Grenada is the Isle of Spice. A fine fragrance wafts through the city when the nutmegs are roasted. South of the city centre is the long, palm-fringed sandy beach of Grand Anse. Carenage Bay is a hive of activity, with fishermen mooring their boats at the quay wall, selling their catch and mending their nets. The restored houses on the waterfront are a sight to behold. Make the most of your stay with a hike through the jungle, a visit to the waterfalls or a tour of the chocolate factory.
Voyage description

This is where you disembark
The French overseas department is also known as "the flower island" and reflects the tropical character of France – 14 degrees north of the equator and almost 7,000 kilometres from Paris. Don't miss exploring the north of Martinique up to the green rainforest wilderness of Morne Rouge on the Route de la Trace. The church square of Sacré Coeur de Balata offers a breathtaking view of the mountainous tropical island.
A few minutes' drive later, you will reach the botanical garden, which enchants visitors with its intoxicating variety of tropical flowers. Our tip: try the island's speciality – rum punch, which is said to be the best in the entire Caribbean.
