Stockholm archipelago and Åland
Trip information
This is where you board
Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, stretches across 14 islands and combines historical splendour with modern architecture. At its heart lies Gamla Stan, the old town with narrow streets, colourful houses and the Royal Palace, one of the largest palaces in Europe. On the island of Djurgården is the interactive ABBA Museum, where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of the famous pop group, marvel at costumes and even record songs themselves. Also on Djurgården is Skansen, the world's oldest open-air museum, which showcases Swedish history and wildlife. Art lovers can visit the Moderna Museet and the colourful underground stations, considered the world's longest art gallery. For excursions, there is the archipelago with thousands of islands, which gives Stockholm a unique maritime character.

Our friendly crew will welcome you aboard in the harbour of Sweden's capital city. Embarkation takes place at 7 p.m. During the subsequent dinner together in the cosy saloon, you will immediately feel at home on the deck of the Eye of the Wind and get to know your fellow passengers and the crew.
You can reach Stockholm easily from many international airports.
Summer, skerries, sea and sailing experience
We begin by exploring the rocky archipelago off Stockholm. Here in the calm coastal waters, atmospheric moments make for perfect holiday memories. The vastness of the sea invites you to get to know the ship as a place of tranquillity and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind. Whenever you like, you can actively participate in life on board – our experienced crew will show you every move and enthusiastically convey a great sailing experience.
The picturesque, rocky archipelago of skerries off the mainland offers a wide range of alternatives for planning your trip. The trip is designed to allow plenty of time for port visits or quiet moments at anchor. Lively harbours or secluded bays – open sea or wooded shores: scenic diversity is guaranteed, and the next idyllic anchorage is never far away. A night at anchor in a sheltered bay is a highlight of any trip and a real seafaring adventure!
The gentle, steady rocking of the ship's hull in the waves, the vastness of the sea and the quiet creaking of the rigging are the best ingredients for a relaxing holiday experience. The soothing uniformity of the sea replaces the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The swell and the fresh sea air are known to make you hungry – so look forward to our excellent on-board cuisine, which consistently receives a grade of 1.0 in our customer satisfaction surveys. Let us surprise you!
Stopover Åland Islands
The port and shipping town of Mariehamn is the maritime and cultural centre of the Åland archipelago. Get to know the "city of a thousand lime trees", which has much more to offer than just its numerous avenue trees: shops, restaurants and cafés, as well as beautiful nature and architecture. Explore the city centre by strolling along Torggatan or exploring the parks and green spaces. With the most hours of sunshine in Scandinavia, Åland offers long days on the beach and red rocks, relaxed cycling, hiking and kayaking tours. The Bomarsund Fortress and the impressive Maritime Museum are well worth a visit. The museum exhibition includes the legendary sailing ship Pommern, where the visitor experience "100 days under sail" takes you back to the 1930s and on a fictional voyage around the world. Sights, museums, medieval churches and galleries, lighthouses and excursion islands, hiking trails and observation towers, cafés, restaurants and farm shops are the gems of Åland that are waiting to be discovered.
End of the trip in Stockholm
Relaxing summer days on the Baltic Sea now lie behind you. After a week between sky and sea, you say goodbye to the crew and your fellow travellers in Stockholm. This is where a journey ends that offers plenty of variety thanks to a balanced mix of time spent sailing, relaxing shore excursions and idyllic anchor stops. You disembark with a duffel bag full of memories.
