After consultation with the Harbour captain we all realised that we couldn't get to Porto Cervo that day with this weather and the north wind, where my wife was waiting for us with the boot of the car full of fresh vegetables she had bought at the market. Without any major incidents, we walked into the harbour in the afternoon on this exciting day. sheltered bay at Capriccioli, where the Eye of the Wind was anchored.
My two sons and I were booted off to the beach of a luxury hotel. We had to cross the beach through the palatial hotel and you can well imagine how we three dishevelled figures were viewed by the guests there. Now we were back solid ground underfoot, but we were still a long way from Porto Cervo, where we had an appointment with my wife.
