Trainees

An important part of the crew are our friendly Trainees. On a voluntary basis and over a period of around 1.5 to 3 months, they support the permanent crew members in all activities that are part of the job. Sailing, manoeuvring and maintaining the ship are required. This includes all work on board and also nautical chart work during watches on longer routes.

Many of our trainees come on board with extensive previous experience and can Guests who would like to actively participate in sailing operations on deck and in the rigging on a voluntary basisguide them competently.

Due to their origins in different countries, predominantly Scandinavian, our trainees ensure a varied linguistic and cultural background. Broadening cultural horizons among all fellow travellers. Our guests find the exchange of experiences between the generations inspiring and enriching.
