This year’s North Sea season gets underway for the Eye of the Wind, the crew and their guests with a very special discovery trip: setting off from Hamburg, we head north and sail along the southern Norwegian coast to Stavanger at the mouth of the Høgsfjord. The departure parade marking the end of the 838^th Hamburg Harbour Birthday also marks the start of this voyage!

After travelling down the Elbe, a stop-off is planned on Germany’s only offshore island, Heligoland. The red rocky island, with its landmark ‘Lange Anna’ – a free-standing rock formation shaped like a guillemot – visible from afar, offers visitors plenty of opportunities for duty-free shopping. Make the most of your stay by taking a walk through the natural landscape of the Heligoland Oberland or visiting the North Sea Aquarium.

Depending on the weather and the itinerary, a stopover in Flekkefjord may be possible. The fascination of the Norwegian coastal landscape is within touching distance here, as we reach this harbour town, situated slightly inland, via a narrow fjord. Why not spend the afternoon and early evening strolling through the ‘Holländerstadt’ district with its narrow alleyways and timber-framed houses?

Our trip ends in Stavanger on the majestic Lysefjord. Here, you’ll disembark with a duffel bag full of holiday memories.
