Join the crew of the Eye of the Wind on her voyage to the winter shipyard! Enjoy eventful days on board, taking part in an active sailing holiday whilst also getting to know the ship as a haven of tranquillity, where you can leave the information overload and hustle and bustle of everyday life behind. As we pass from the Baltic Sea to the North Sea and move to the rhythm of the tides, we’ll explore the fascinating waters between the Kattegat and the entrance to the Danish Ringkøbing Fjord. Setting off from Gothenburg, Sweden, the journey takes us through the picturesque Limfjord, Denmark’s most beautiful natural waterway, and on across the North Sea.

A possible stop-off is planned in the typically Scandinavian fjord city of Aalborg. The picturesque old town, with its winding alleys, shops and pubs, is well worth a visit. The most famous buildings are the half-timbered castle, the Renaissance-style ‘Stenhus’ and the 15^th-century St Budolfi Cathedral. Another stop on the route is the port town of Thyborøn, our gateway to the North Sea. A shore excursion is also planned here.

Fifty years ago, on 25 September 1976 to be precise, our sailing ship set sail for the first time under its current name, Eye of the Wind. The symbolic anniversary prize for this voyage, amounting to 1,976 euros, is a nod to that year.

The route described here may change at short notice due to prevailing wind and weather conditions. The ship's command will decide on stopovers and the course of the voyage, taking your wishes into account whenever possible.
